Ravenfield

I literally can't play it anymore...
So I accidently put ravenfield into a split screen on my mac. Now, when I try to 'minimize' it from full screen into a smaller screen, it still technically is in a minimized screen, although it fills up the screen! There is no resize cursor or anything!

This is really terrible bc I have an old mac, and it isn't able to handle the game unless its in a reduced screen. So unless I can some how reduce the window, it will be practically unplayable, and I will have to either try to get a refund or lose $17 bucks.:steamsad:

Or you could get a better computer/laptop/mac. Also you can only refund if you got it less than 2 weeks ago and have played it for less than 1-2 hours.

Well not exactly an option financially rn. really dissapointing the window doesn't have a frigging resize option. like is that too much to ask for?

It was able to handle with a smaller window. Accidently enlarged window and now it's super slow.

Minimum specs as listed on store page:
OS: Mac OS X 10.8
Processor: 32-bit, 2 GHz or Faster
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: Intel HD 3000
Storage: 1 GB available space

You seem to BARELY hit minimum specs. If you can, I recommend upgrading the GPU, and then you'll be all set.

Actually, I'd say that he is above the min. I should know because mine barely hit the min and I could run the game at full screen. Because GPU has really nothing to do with the game he's i7 CPU should pull him around 40+ fps at full screen with mid settings. Heavily used computer or not, he shouldn't be having trouble with this game. I'd suggest that he mess with the resolutions, if that doesn't work you'll have to do it manually by pressing shift while the game launches(don't quote me on that, I think you can also access this panel through right clicking on the game)

Hi, it sounds like you want to change from fullscreen to windowed mode. To do that, either uncheck Fullscreen in the Video options while you're in the main menu.

Due to a bug that will soon be fixed, you may need to enable fullscreen, apply the changes, and then uncheck fullscreen and apply again to get this to work.

Alternatively, if this doesn't solve the issue, you can also set these options in the game launcher. To access the launcher, hold shift while starting the game. Make sure you check windowed mode in the launcher.

Hello all. I got the problem fixed.

My issue was that I had the resolution low in the game, but not in the launcher. Thus it was launching the way it was.

The solution? I held down the option key as the game opened, opening the launcher screen. From there I simply selected a lower resolution and vuola, everything is good now. Thanks so much for the suggestiongs, and for being patient and kind with me! I was just a little frustrated that I was having a hard time playing such a great game, but now I can enjoy that game with no difficulties!

And a special thanks to Ravenfield for being such a great developer:steamhappy:
