Is Single Player Possible In This Game?
Hello! :) I'm curious if it is possible to play this game completely by yourself. I can understand creating a great game that requires more than one person to play. I'm sure that that would make it easier for a smaller design team to code. However, I'm still curious if this game allows you to control more than one character in the game.

These days, there are so many great indie games out there. However, it often works out that in my circle of friends not everyone will be interested in the same game. So, having someone readily onhand to play with isn't always an option for me. I also don't really want to play with strangers too awful much. It's not that I don't like meeting new people. I just either want to hop into a game solo or with someone who knows me well enough that we can speak easily with each other.

So, I guess that's all I need to know: can this game be played solo? Or is it one of those games where you technically CAN play by yourself, but you are REALLY by yourself, meaning that you can only control one character and good luck getting through the game that way. ;) This game looks VERY interesting and I have a thing for settings involving the polar ice caps and abandoned research stations. (Thank you very much, John Carpenter! :P )

I didn't even know it was supposed to be co-op. I'm playing it now and it's ridiculous by myself. I just started and I feel like I don't want to play anymore. I have to rush to everything. And baby two characters. I got the key to exit the zone but for some reason it didn't actually pick it up, must be a bug. So I thought that wasn't the key, I'm out or resources so go back to where the key was, ok NOW It gives me the key. Now it's to late I'm almost dead, I just make it to the gate, I open it and go through. What the flip my other guy can't be brought over?? I guess he's dead? I figured I could bring him through later. Guess not. Or who knows I can't find out later because I died now.

Massive waste of time. I mean no saves?? I'm not liking this game. Have to just non stop rush and if you go to the wrong place or stay to long somewhere or use to much this or that or use it to soon or to late it's game over later down the road. I can never just relax and enjoy the game.

I don't know I might try one more time but I'm going to see if I can put it on the easier mode. If that's not much better I don't want to play it. So fair warning to you.

Tried again. Got pretty far. A couple more zones. Then the mini map said their was a bed in one building and a gun in another. I needed sleep so wasted a ton of time trying to get to the bed. NO BED! The gun was in there though. I'm guessing they screwed up and reversed them on the map.

No save points, screw this game man. This is garbage I'm done, uninstalling. This game had massive potential but they royally screwed it up.

The game saves when you enter a new area. If you make a failure. Close the game and start it again. Then you are at the beginning of the area.

The game icons are represenative of what you find.

Gun and Bed are not literal, but representative icons.

In short.

Yes game can be played fully solo. It was solo only before they implemented co-op.

I have all the achievements bar one, and have played it almost exclusively solo.

A lot of fun IMO.

I hope they provide some DLC in the future, but it seems development has ceased at this point. A shame.

Thanks for the input, buddy! I guess that other guy was having trouble, but it sounds like he was a little unclear about how to do certain things. I look forward to giving this game a shot! Solo! ;)

EDIT: And it's a good time to buy the game, too! It's on sale for 85 freaking % off! Woohoo! Just in time for Halloween! That is, at least here in the States. I'm not sure how many other countries actually acknowledge "All Hallows Eve". In fact, I'd be willing to bet that there are still some places on the planet where it's actually still a genuinely spooky/"evil" day/night. ;)
