Can you do silent takedowns from behind??

I know in games like "Sniper Elite 3", "Far Cry 3", and "Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon" allows you to get behind distracted enemies and stealth-kill them with Takedowns. So i'm just curious is if you're able to perform them on human targets while upclose???

well I haven't played the actual game yet (as i'm currently on "Borderlands", and will soon do my Ultra-Nightmare run of "Rage" and retire that game), but while shooting a Nazi soldier in the head with the silenced pistol can be both good and bad. Good for catching them off-guard, Bad if one his nearby buddies sees the dead body.

To stealth takedown from behind you need to press space to stealth takedown

You can do that but not always. In the Kaiser-Friedrich Museum mission when you get to the bridge where they are a team of soliders standing at the end of the bridge, you will find one sniper sitting on the roof top. That guy can't be stealth-taken down. He will notice you when you get to close from behind.

you can sometimes,you got to be very silent,because that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nazis sometimes it looks like they got bionic ears jajaja but yes you can

Hate to be that guy, no really! But I took that sniper out with silenced pistol. You just sneak up behind him, but don't move up stairs, until he faces away.
