Squad Levels are personal and only add to the total from the rest of the squad members for a specific type of squad. (i.e. You have a squad level for each squad in the game, so you can have a level 5 Cossack squad and a level 10 Infanterie squad.)
Note: Each player has their own level to contribute towards the total and bots get a random level. The latter can go away/change when a player replaces a bot, and are random each match. (Unless there are two or more players in a squad AFAIK, and just stays at zero)
It becomes too tedious and boring because the gameplay becomes redundant over time.
They should put all the same modes on both games.
e.g. Took me about 2 years of on-and-off playing with my brother to get a level 100 squad in Verdun (and this was with a Co-Op XP wipe on my end). Altho, fortunately the legacy leveling system carried over here and after the rework.
However trying to bring Frontlines into Tannenberg would most certainly require new or completely redesigned current maps. (And same goes for Maneuver in Verdun)
The only mode that could theoretically work from Verdun in Tannenberg, IMO, would be Squad Defense but we're getting off topic.
If you want to start a new discussion on it, you're more than welcome but I don't believe there are plans for it.
But would you be able to get a high squad level WITHOUT regularly playing with ur brother, just joining random games?
Note: At least, you only really need a squad between level 20-30 and at most a level 60-75, if you want the 3rd Tier Call-In or last tier uniform. (If you're in a squad with another person or two with a level 20-30 squad, you've got yourselves a level 40-90 squad - with four folks, that's 80-100)
EDIT: Thinking about more, the points for Squad Spawns as well as playing as the Support Role, could be increased possibly. e.g. When spawning on a squaddie in a contested Control Point (capzone) or just in enemy territory, could be 10 Points instead of just 5 Points. When your active/passive support ability is used in enemy territory or in contested friendly territory, the points could be increased too.
Secondly tho, you don't need to play with the same people all the time; you just need to play/work with your squad to get the most Squad Points (be it just bots as the NCO or not, or with random people) in order to level up the squad.
You get the most points by following NCO orders and regularly updating orders as the NCO (kills made by the rest of the squad are a two-way street when inside of the White Aura), and killing enemies alongside your squad. (i.e. Squad Bonus and Teamwork Bonus)
If the random people you're playing with aren't trying to work together, I recommend switching squads.
P.S. You can still level up squads in custom/private matches, if you're really worried about grinding thru levels. (Where your bots are a little more receptive to the NCO tbh)
As well as the "front lines" mode on Tanenberg.
Historically most of the battles in France / Belgium were front lines but there must have been some asymmetrical clashes in some areas as well.
It remains a game even if it follows a historical narrative.
The devs should implement them but is it possible ?.
Thank you for your advice ^^
