This patch has some final preparations for our launch on the Epic Game Store, as well as general fixes. You will always be able to play with Epic players, but as written below, you can link your Epic and Steam accounts in order to enable cross-store invites. Linking your accounts will make your Epic friends show up in the in-game Friends menu, so you can invite them like you would Steam friends.

  • Added a button under Account settings in the Main Menu to connect your Steam account to your Epic account, in order to play with friends on the Epic Games Store. For more information about this, visit our community Discord.

  • Map adjustments: We realised that often the battlefield can feel a bit empty and allows for player avoiding eachother instead of actually fighting. We believe this is caused by the enormous size of the maps and therefore felt the need to have smaller maps for more action and to improve on problems such as Lone-Wolfing. All maps are around 200 meters wide instead of +/-350[gyazo.com]
  • In this update we addressed some of the annoyances with the current spawn flow.
    • You can now spawn on all squadmates
    • You can now spawn on all frontline sectors
    • A spawn is picked by default
    • A fallback is added when a spawn becomes invalid
    • Allow spawning in friendly sectors that are being capture(if the spawn is safe)
    • When all clusters in a sector are unsafe: then allow the edges of a next friendly sector as spawn so that there is always 1 frontline of spawn.
    • When HQ is being captured, always allow " safest" spawn (even when all are unsafe)
    • Visualization of spawns that are not/no longer possible because they are unsafe (completely invisible before)
    • Double Clicking on spawn should spawn you in.
  • We have revised the system of call-ins with the following changes:
    • Only NCOs can use telephones. They replace their ability call-in.
    • Telephones are now available in all sectors
    • The Artillery and Recon are now Regular sectors, since every sector has a telephone. We are still looking on how to differentiate sectors again in the future
    • Strength of the explosive call-in has been reduced to what used to be the ability call-in
    • Enemy HQ sector can no longer be targeted by telephones.

  • Bots: Improved finding cover outside of combat
  • Bots: Fixed a case where bots could get stuck in a state
  • Bots: Bots will no longer walk through/over barbed wire

  • Included new three weapons:
    • Roth-Steyr: The Roth-Steyr M1907, or "Repetierpistole M.7." was the first adopted semi automatic pistol by a major power. It was fed using a 10 round stripper clip from the top. You can find this weapon in K.u.K. Trupp loadouts.
    • S&W No.3: The Russian S&W No. 3 was designed by Smith & Wesson under contract to the Imperial government, but then reverse-engineered by Russian gunsmiths and produced in European arsenals for a substantially lower price. You can find this weapon in Frontovik and Cossacks loadouts.
    • Frommer Stop(K.u.K Trupp): The Frommer Stop is a Hungarian designed pistol with a long long recoil deisgn. It uses the special 7.65mm frommer cartridge in a 7 round box magazine. You can find this weapon in K.u.K. Trupp loadouts.
  • Re-ordered the loadouts to include the new weapons
  • Added a new spawn flow to Tannenberg: More dynamic spawn locations are now available which should reduce the walking distance to enemy sector and allow for more options.   • Can now switch in Audio Settings between 'stereo' and '5.1' audio engine speaker mode. Check your setup on what works best, Stereo is enabled by default.

  • We now show a network health stats if they are not healthy values. It shows: Host migration, Jitter, Ping and packet loss. This can always be accessed by enabling opening the options screen. Hovering over will display the stats. Using this information we can identify why some players are having network issues such as teleportation and shots not registering.
  • Backspace in chat can now be held down again to remove multiple character
