The dev's views on MTX: https://roguesnail.com/blog/relic-hunters-f2p-manifesto
Anyhow, are there any microtransactions in the game currently? Anything that hints at what 1.0 might look like in that regard?
Boy if that whole statement doesn't just scream "expect many predatory and or P2W mtx by and after release" nothing does.
Ive had this on my wishlist for a long time, but that statement alone just makes me question why I keep it there.
As we already posted last month, RHL will not have microtransations, the game will be a premium title priced $20 at 1.0 release.
My last statement was precisely because we were evaluating whether we would go with a premium model or stick to our promise of a F2P model and put efforts into creating a fair microtransaction system.
We’ve promised this throughout the years of development, but as we mentioned in the post, we currently don’t have the resources to dedicate our team to developing this model. That’s why we believe it’s better for both the game and us to go premium—this way, our team can focus solely on improving the in-game experience.
We understand that many people were expecting the F2P model, and that’s why we made this decision with great care and consideration.
