You never click TAB key?
Actually you can visually compare them. The distance between each item gets smaller with every new item gathered.
Why do you need an item counter is the real question?
Pay more attention to chat. It tells you how many someone has of a stack when they pick it up.
If you need a breather, go to the Bazaar. Time doesn't tick forward there and is accessible from the majority of stages.
Except it doesn't. Someone having 4 Warbanners is far less useful than say, 4 MKIs or Will-o-Wisps. Both add to the total all the same.
So use words, sentences and basic communication while applying 1st and 2nd grade math of adding.
Not to mention all the other problems with a number showing "Player has X items" will bring.
Anyway, totally interested in seeing this implemented.
Wrong, money is split evenly with the exception of blood shrines.
This change effects everyone, including idiots in random ques that would make them more toxic by screeching over the fact I have more items then them. You'll have to excuse me if I don't feel like getting kicked by morons that don't understand how to loot in a timely manner and whine about sitting on 500 gold by the end of Stage 1 with 2 items.
I've already explained in detail why this change isn't really worth while to add. Sorry I'm refusing to be part of your echo chamber and instead bring logic to why it shouldn't be added, nevermind the fact that total number of items is vastly unimportant vs what the items actually do for you.
Regardless, you are being real elitist.
In settings put the game directory (where .exe is, if it says it doesn't find it there then retry, it will find it)
2) In there download R2API & BepInExPack (first 2 things listed there)
Just tick the boxes to the left then in the top click confirm changes and below tick the box 'Apply these changes" and click next and it will download them
3) Under "Filter" search for 'Item counters' and download it the same way
4) Your friends have to do all these things too
5) You have a mod that shows all the items
Here you can see screenshots on how it works: https://thunderstore.io/package/mrarm/ItemCounters/
Re-read my posts instead of going "REEE YOU DISAGREE WITH MY SUGGESTION!!!". It's clear as I can make it as to why this isn't something the game needs.
Suggesting them 1st grade adding skills be put to use sure locks out the majority of players from playing RoR2, right?
