An easy way to "fix" the Alloy Worship Unit for now
If the eggs were interactibles rather than breakable on accident, the player would get better control over when to fight the boss and when not to as clearly this boss needs a certain power level to be taken down which not every run gets to.
As for stat balance I'm sure we'll see some changes in the upcoming update... even if not, I don't mind that boss being ridiculously difficult just the random spawns get rather annoying since you have no control over fireworks and gasoline/will-'o's blowing up nests from across the galaxy.

Yes, but having to interact with something once instead of five times seems much more convenient, does it not?

True that. Plus, your option would make it much more like an actual Boss spawning from a teleporter as you activate the thing closest to where the boss actually spawns rather than having to race across half the map upon breaking the last egg.
On second thought your idea is significantly better.
