Re-usable Trophy Hunter's Tricorn Bug

While on a commando monsoon run I got a trophy hunter's tricorn on stage 2 and used it on the boss. While it did execute the boss and drop the item, for some reason it didn't change into the inert version. I held onto it and used it for the boss on stage 3 & the same thing happened, boss was executed and it dropped the item but I could still use the tricorn again. Stage 4 I ended up using it on a non-boss magma worm and it finally worked as intended (now I can say "ahoy!", yippee!)

No idea why this happened, the fact that it worked as intended on a field-boss might mean something but idk
