Dio's Best Friend soft lock simulacrum

A Dio's Best Friend entered the cell as a mob item in Simulacrum and it soft locked my run twice. For some reason, enemies would just stop spawning or the "_ enemies left" counter would get stuck at some value and there were no enemies. I think the issue may have been related to the gup deaths and respawns? Also, it happened on Abyssal Depths twice. I had the ProperSave mod installed so I was able to try to restart the stage to try to get past the soft locks.
