Chef Unlock Bugged - Please Help

My friend activated the teleporter when I was putting the three items into the item portraits to unlock Chef and I was teleported away before getting the achievement. Going back to the unlock area with the three items in my next run, the portraits were filled in and I can't put in the items, but I don't have Chef either. I tried verifying integrity of game files and such, but nothing worked. Please help!

something similar happened to me, i did the three items thing but the achievment didn't pop up and the chef remained locked, now i can't even put the 3 items again, i also don't know how to fix it.

Same issue, not sure if the same thing caused it but I did not get the achievement and did not unlock him.

I cant unlock him as well! Any ideas how to fix this?
