Multiplayer disconnect after one hour

I play a lot of multiplayer with my friend. After one hour of starting up the game, the non host gets disconnected. On top of that, they are unable to rejoin the lobby until after the host restarts the game. It is almost always at the hour mark after launching the game.
To counter this, the non host can leave right before disconnecting and then join again. This is a band-aid fix that doesn't always work.
We both have great internet and live close by each other. On top of that, we never disconnect in any other game.
I don't know what's causing this to happen. I suspect it has to do with steam going into some sort of sleep mode after one hour, but I have nothing to prove that with. If anyone has any suggestions please tell me, because these disconnects are driving me nuts.

ive been having this same issue and ruins all my runs since you cant save and come back after in this game for some reason (even soul knight have this feature and its a copy of a game)
