Extreme desync/lag only in Sky Meadow
Since the new patch I've consistently had major lag spikes and desync while playing online as soon as we reach Sky Meadow AND ONLY SKY MEADOW. I die no matter what because of how bad it is, but oddly enough if my friends reach the next stage everything returns to normal for my connection as if nothing happened.

I am playing on college wifi if that matters, but it's important to note that no other game I play has connection issues anywhere near this bad. Also worth noting that no other programs are open when this happens other than discord and of course steam.

I absolutely love this game, and I'm sure this isn't an easy issue to fix, but please Hopoo address this when you get the chance. Cheers.

I have this problem with only Sky Meadow and I've only ever played Single Player. I do play with mods but I remember it being a problem with this stage before I used mods too. Maybe it is a post-DLC thing because I don't remember it ever being this bad. I can get 120-170fps (170hz max monitor) on most other levels (5800X CPU, 32GB ram, 3070 Ti FTW3 Ultra GPU) on Medium-High settings at 1440p, and Sky Meadow feels like it has some memory leak problem.

I try to get all the chests and go for the boss, but by the end the fps has crawled down to 17 fps. It starts at 120-150 fps at the start, but by the end about 10-15 minutes later, the fps has dropped to 70 fps then 40 fps then 20 fps then finally 17 fps. I think it would drop even lower if I stayed longer.

As soon as I hit that teleporter and zoom out, boom, straight up to 170 fps with the few seconds that are left with the teleporter blue portal in the center of the screen.

It has to be something they just never fixed with the game, no other stage does it.

I have problem with this too. And there's two times where I insanely stacked with items (art. command + art. sacrifice + 3rd loop) it becomes unplayable, like one digit fps. I most likely problems with enemy entities + maybe flying debris in this stage since when they're all died I regain most of the fps and lose them all when even only a few of them spawns.

This occurred in both modded and unmodded. Modded is a bit worse but not sure if it is because of mods or not it since when I mod, I tend to get insanely equipped with a dozen of drones that also maybe be the cause.

Yeah, I agree. I don’t know what causes it but I am really surprised the devs never fixed this issue with Sky Meadow considering how bad the frame rate tanks on only this specific level. It is my least liked level because of that, I just get annoyed every time I get to it.

As soon as I get out of Stage 5 (Sky Meadows specifically), the game goes back to normal. No matter what settings I have, no matter how many items I have that cause a lot of VFX on screen etc. the game will be smooth as butter. I do also play mainly modded, but this lag is Vanilla as well
