"Beat The Game" = not unlocking Captain

After I beat the game, i got into a new run and I could see that i had unlocked Captian, but didn't pick him for the next run, but after I finished the run, he was again a "?" and I dont have the "Washed away" Challenge completed anymore, but I have the achivement on steam completed.
