Graphics Glitches and Game Crash

I played the game months ago and it worked great. I have not played in a couple months. When I tried to play today, the game would sometimes immediately crash on the beginning of the intro sequence, with the audio playing but no video. Sometimes the video would play, with lots of graphical glitches, like light particles that are huge or polygons that seem to have warped. Turning off bloom and SSAO reduced the effect, but the game always crashes after at most 30 seconds. The game is currently unplayable. I reinstalled the game and my graphics drivers, but there is no change. I tried to take a screen shot, but strangely the effects do not appear in the Steam screenshot.

I have a similar issue: black screen on startup, crash shortly thereafter. Reinstall doesn't fix, updating graphics driver doesn't fix, verifying local files doesn't fix. Game worked fine months ago. I also have an NVidia GeForce card. Did you ever find a fix?

No, I have not found a fix. I try to boot the game every couple days, and it keeps crashing the same way.

Same issue. Flashes of light followed by crash.
