Actual Resolution? Maybe

Alrighty then! I was aware of issues with RoR2 and 'vJoy', but didn't think it applied to me because I never installed something called 'vJoy'. However, I did decide to uninstall the drivers that were there for my Rudder that I use for Elite Dangerous (this was just using the generic 'USB Input Device' driver, but whatever) from Devices and Printers, and that fixed the issue (hopefully permanently this time).

If the solution is just to unplug or uninstall my rudder/HOTAS when playing RoR2, I guess that will just have to suffice.

Original Post:

When I launch Risk of Rain 2 I am shown the disclaimer, but have no cursor. I can continue to the main menu and character select screens with 'ENTER' on my keyboard, but am not able to do much else.

Here is what I have tried:
* Disabled any overlays, including the GeForce overlay and Discord overlay
* Verified integrity of game cache via Steam
* Ensured Display Scaling is disabled
* Uninstalled/Re-installed Risk of Rain 2
* Obligatory - Rebooted my PC before and after doing all of the above ;)
* Followed instructions on pinned thread to wipe my save file by replacing the XML File in the userdata folder, as the issue looked like it may be related.

Mouse and Keyboard in question are the Corsair M65 Pro Elite and Corsair K70 LUX, I am running iCUE (the software that controls the RGB and firmware for these devices) - I've verified all firmware and drivers are up to date. Risk of Rain 2 is the only application that is having an issue here.

System Specs:
AMD Ryzen 2700X
GTX 1080Ti
32GB RAM
Windows 10 - Version 1909 (18363.752)

I also noticed there is some sort of gamepad/input device error in the lower right corner of the menu, I presume this is probably related.

I haven't seen any other posts of the issue, so I think it's safe to assume the issue is specific to my setup, but I figured I'd post here just in case.

UPDATE 4/8/2020 5:57PM:
I also deleted my config file to see if it was something wacky, my cursor did show up on the character creation screen, but disappeared again immediately when loading the main menu.

I also didn't list that I am playing at 1440p, I am not sure if this is important or not but I thought to include it here.

UPDATE 4/8/2020 6:08PM:
I have continued to troubleshoot this. I thought that maybe I would try to uninstall/re-install again, this time deleting the 'Risk of Rain 2' folder in my steamapps\common folder before re-installing. This was ineffective.

I reduced my screen resolution to 1920x1080, and 1280x720 to see if that potentially had any effect.

I closed all background programs, including Discord, iCUE, Java Updater, etc.

I've been looking for any keybinds file or anything like that, perhaps there either isn't one or it's missing?

4/8/2020 6:24PM WORKAROUND/RESOLUTION IDENTIFIED (or so I thought):
I've found that if I launch the game directly from the Risk of Rain 2.exe file in steamapps\common\Risk of Rain 2 instead of through the Steam Library window, everything works normally. Maybe this is a Steam issue?

I've also found that since launching it this way, launching it through steam now works normally as well.

4/8/2020 7:46PM THE SAGA CONTINUES

Ok! So I had alt-tabbed to reply to a comment on another monitor, and when I ALT-TAB back into the same the GUI gets all bugged out, my mouse is always moving left (slowly) and I have no cursor again! (The same error in the lower right shows). Restarting the game does not fix (a.k.a I am back to square one).

Using my previous 'workaround' does not work, so I must have been incorrect about what actually resolved my issue.

If this is somehow linked to ALT-TAB / Multi-monitor setups that could be an interesting turn of events.

4/8/2020 8:00PM Update 5?:

I've tried more things!
* Attempted Exclusive Fullscreen mode (setting window_mode to 'FullscreenExclusive', or using the 'window-mode exclusive' launch option
* Lowered the resolution again in the config.cfg file just to be sure that didn't fix it earlier, it did not.

If this is somehow related to the game not being in focus when it initializes that might make sense, I'm just not sure how to get around it yet.

I have the same issues with completely different hardware; the only things in question is that I have two different controllers (Working by HID-devices) and that these devices seem to take control immediately. I've had the keyboard/mouse work sometimes my messing around with controller buttons, but I have no clue what actually makes it work. This is definitely a controller-related problem however.

I imagine that it has to do something with Steam's controller system and that the game can't properly deal with something steam feeds to the game
