Cannot Open Timed Security Chest

Dunno what the issue seems to be, but no matter what difficulty I reach the chest on, I cannot open the chest.

To clarify, this is with the timer still active- in one case, with only 2 minutes ticked off. No matter how many times I try to interact, the chest will not open and the timer keeps ticking away. Clearing the area didn't help. Doing it on Monsoon didn't help. Clearing the area while doing it on Monsoon didn't help.

Given that I cannot find anything about this requiring a specific character or a certain item or interacting with something else in the area or what-have-you, I can only assume that the chest itself is not working properly. Or am I missing something?

Was the time on the chest ticking up, was there a "-" sign in front of the minute number, and did the chest display the time in red numbers? If so, that means you're already too late on that run; however, you should be able to figure out how soon you need to arrive on the next run to unlock it.

You will know that you aren't too late to open the Timed Security Chest if (a) the time is counting down rather than up, (b) there is no "-" sign in front of the minute number, and (c) the time is displayed in white numbers rather than red numbers.
