Multiplayer not working

Whenever either my friend or I are together in the lobby and one of us hits create game, it throws whoever isn’t the host back to the title screen. Anyone have any idea what’s going on?

That doesn't work either. I have narrowed it down to the steam deck. If I'm playing on steam deck I have this issue but if I switch to my PC no issues at all.

Ah yeah, the game has a bug that wont allow you to host a game on Linux/Steam Deck without tweaks.
You can change the launch options to:

gamemoderun PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%

Which should allow you to host.
