pretty simple. and voidling can suicide bomb you (like void reaver) in the 2nd and 3rd phase i think. so keep that in mind.
Prayer Beads assumes OP has SotS and you also can't reliably find scrappers to get rid of them, assuming you get Prayer Beads at all. And Command won't help there as scrappers won't spawn with Command, unless you want to go all in on Prayer Beads and toss them in a Bazaar cauldron, leaving you with no greens for a while. If you go the Command reliquary route then good luck getting any reds there unless you're also running Sacrifice.
I would not recommend fighting it without looping. Its just too long of a fight and way too large of an arena to do if you aren't decked out.
I would disagree.
Scrapping is pretty easy to do, always scrap useless garbage items like squid, leeching seed, and Bandolier for example.
And doing command in the middle of your normal run (the reliquary) is pretty decent way to turn your run around if you're getting bad RNG luck. That depends on how much chests spawn in the stage.
You'd be surprised how easy it is to get red items if you scrap useless items in Bazar, Mythrix, and False son realm.
I wasn't saying it was hard, just not reliable. Not uncommon for me to hold onto a PSG for 3 stages because a scrapper never spawned. (also debatable on those 3 items being useless garbage, especially Bandolier on melee characters (except against the final bosses where they won't get much use))
I frequently do a Command reliquary in my runs so I know the strat. Issue is that I rarely get more than 4 chests to spawn, making it also not as reliable as I'd want. An ATG would really help my run since I got Clover/ICBM, but I got all small chests and no greens from them.
Those reds may not be useful. Pocket ICBM when no missiles; Shattering Justice as Loader; Wake of Vultures as anyone; Daggers, Frost Relic, Soulbound, Resonance Disk, or Desk Plant without Forgive Me Please.
All of what you said is useful, you just need the RNG to capitalize on it.
1. If you are ranged, use cover. The best cover spot is when you spawn you want to go behind the walls at the edge of the arena. Granted, after phase one, it varies, but usually the edge of the arena is the best cover spots. Once you hear the audio ques or see the animation of any of it's 2 main attacks(the barrage and pew pew laser with void pool at the final hit.) Take cover.
2. For its other 2 attacks(Giant Laser Beam which it circles around the area and Black hole attack) are not that bad once you get the idea. The Giant Laser beam Spins around, but slowly, Voidling aims the beam down on the ground, to the point at the second spin it is only covering near them and not the whole arena. You can get under or on top Voidling to dodge this attack entirely. You will know hes about to do this attack when he crouches down. When you see this, try and get to high ground. If you can not. Run and far as you can and try and jump over the beam. For his black hole, you can out speed the vacuum it with enough movement speed items, but if you cant, try and get as far as away from him and get behind cover so you can use it as an anchor. DO NOT JUMP and if its pulling you away by dragging you left or right, go the opposite direction it is pulling you from or keep running straight away from the black hole. You will know he is about to do this attack when he rises his body up. When you see this, run away. Voldling so only uses the black hole attack at Phase 2 and 3 and if it is 50% of his health.
3, If you are melee or close range. Use your iframes. your mobility, or get under or on top of voidling to dodge his main attack, which is his barrage of missiles he launches at you. It will only use this attack if you are close range. That is, unless if you are in phase 2-3 which he will use the black hole attack. Just follow the black hole attack instructions.
4. Items I would recommend is to have a decent amount of movement items to dodge attacks and to parkour easier. You need a lot of damage items, as he has 2x more health than mithrix and has the adaptive armor passive, which makes him more tankier the more you attack it and is an anti-burst damage passive. If you want the technical version of what Adaptive armor does, Every time Voidling or Mithrix take damage, they gain temporary armor equal to 30 armor per 1% of the max HP dealt. This armor caps at 400 and decays at a rate of 40 per second. To counter this passive, try and get symbiotic scorpion or death mark(with 4 debuff items or play a character that can apply debuffs). Healing and Damage reduction is very important too as he does a lot of damage.
Ultimately, the key to beat voidling is patience if you are doing him early on and not looping. Otherwise if you loop, most likely you will kill him easily.
