Killed False Son with Halcyon seed and no character unlock?

so iv been reading on this and someone said that once you reach the final phase kill Aurelionite first and then false son. i think that it glitches out and it takes your seed (without us seeing it gone)

That might be it. I killed False Son first.

Got it, killed him even faster this time, not my choice though, my Commando was just unstoppable at stage 49 when i fought him, luckily i did unlock the character though and finished the run by killing Mithrix on stage 51! :D

I killed him yesterday with Halcyon Seed (on 1st playthrough of SotS) and he died instantly.

Is this some kinda known strategy?

PS: False Son did unlock for me

Actually killing him too fast can sometimes NOT unlock him. Seems a bit bugged when False Son unlocks.

Did you need to kill the Aurolite first like the other poster suggested? Or was it just a bug that it didn't unlock last time?

I am not sure, but i think i killed Aureolinite first. Battle was so quick and chaotic that i am not entirely sure whom i killed first. I do remember that the moment when False Son died i got the achievement and character unlock.
