False Son boss fight losing abilities?

I do not understand what to do when all your abilities get taken away, there's no seemingly obvious way to get them back and I just end up dying. I even did all of those nearby gold pillars on one run over and over and I still didn't get them back.

the golden pillars in the boss arena grant you your ability's for a brief time, but False son takes them away again.

Getting revived from seed of life gives you abilities back too

To clarify what the first guy said, at the start of his final phase, he does an attack that takes your abilities. It's after he does the attack and after your abilities are gone that you want to hit one of the pillars. He may do this ability stealing attack again if you don't kill him fast enough, at which point you need to hit another pillar. The pillars do respawn after a while, so you should always at least have one. I'd recommend rushing over to the nearest pillar as soon as you bump him into his final phase, use all of your big cooldowns during his little transition animation, and then hit the pillar once he steals your moves.

random question but... does blast shower also return your abilities? cause i imagine its a debuff thats causing that effect.

The ability stealing attack also takes your ability to use equipment, so you most likely can't even use the Blast Shower while under the effect. Unless you can use it the frame you lose your abilities and that somehow would cleanse it, I don't think Blast Shower helps other than cleansing the debuff the lightning and spikes cause

False son on phase 3 of his fight lets off an "EMP" attack that locks your abilitys and equipment untill you cleanse the debuff by using the 1 of 2 gold pillars (his arena needs more of them/have then regen faster)
