Is using the artifact of command "cheating"?
I know that you can unlock stuff with artifacts enabled, but I have a pretty strict "moral code" when it comes to using assistance. However, the artifact of command can be pretty useful. So, that brings up the question. Is it cheating/considered "weak" if one were to use command?

As for your strict "moral code" its all up to you. I personally decided to get all the skins playing Monsoon with no artifacts but in the end it's a self-imposed challenge in a way.

Important thing is that you have fun playing!

It makes the game substantially easier but I wouldn't call it cheating.

is just another way of playing.
i personaly like both.
i like to planify my build but sometimes i want RNG to take the decision for me

It's a built-in mechanic of the game so it's not cheating. Why care if it's cheating, though, if it doesn't affect someone else's experience of it negatively? If you have fun then continue having fun.

I don't use it to specifically try and unlock things, but i do like to play with it often enough

Yes

It's not a cheat, it's not even an exploit, it's just a different way of playing.
It does trivialize Monsoon (unless used with a whole bunch of other less generous artifacts) so it's up to what you want from the game.
I wouldn't use it if you're looking for a challenge for example.

try using command with glass, those few seconds you are choosing an item suddenly become nerve wracking when next to any foe can suddenly one shot your squishy patooty.

kinda

I guess there's no set definition, but yeah I'd call it a cheat code by the least. Secondary option and you have to input a code to enable it. Would I be less impressed by someone clearing monsoon if they used command? Absolutely.
Lots of folks are calling it 'a different way of playing'. I mean, yeah, I guess. God mode is also a 'different way of playing', but it's still cheating.

If you enjoy playing with it, be it Command or God Mode or cheating, go ahead. So long as you aren't springing it on anyone who doesn't want to be a part of it, who cares?

No, its not cheating, but it isn’t vanilla either. Much easier.

I offer an example. I wanted engineer’s spider mines. I couldn’t get them. So i used AoC and poof two charges of saw maranag and i got the challenge on my first try.

You can't compare Command to God mode. Sure, if you use it with Swarm and Sacrifice just to clear Monsoon and challenges, it can serve the same purpose of making the game really easy, but it also allows you to make some stupid combinations of items you could almost never get otherwise.

I just got out of a game where past the first 2 levels, my only damage came from N'Kuhana+Rejuv. Rack+Strides of Heresy. How easily can you stack half a dozen of each of those items while not using any other damage dealing ones without Command ?

And then, there's the fact the devs put it there knowing fully how it could be used and despite that, decided NOT to deactivate challenges when activating it.

The difference here is that god mode is a cheat- It's not a legitimate feature of the game; It's only accomplished via mods or something like cheat engine or a trainer. Command on the other hand is a function purposefully built into the game; It's a setting that a player can choose to have on or off.

Command, and the other artifacts are different ways of playing the game intentionally built into the game by the devs.
