I think that, mechanically, the player never counts as an elite target. The devs specifically coded Razorwire, Tougher Times, and Crowbars to not work against the player during this segment because they can set up effectively or literally unwinnable situations; I'll guess that Guillotines will not work, either, based on that evidence.
Players should be immune to execute, however, at least the freeze-based one.
players are never considered bosses so AP rounds never effect us, so its reasonable to assume that players are never considered elites even when wake of vultures has triggered or in the rare instance of a player having an elite equipment.
