I love instantly dying to Twisted elites
It's so fun to get from 4000 ehp to 0 in less than a second because one of them spawned right below the enemies i was shooting at.

Genuinely the worst designed thing i have ever seen. just had my run end because a twisted elite spawned behind me out of sight whilst i was attacking another enemy. Nobody with a functioning brain would have designed this elite type
Which elite is this? I dont believe i've encountered it yet.

The blue ones that make every enemy close to them invulnerable and able to reflect ALL damage to the dealer, they start spawning on stage 6 (basically on first loop)

If you have any kind of AOE build going (which is basically 90% of the game) say goodbye to your ass if the thing doesn't die before it starts marching closer to the other elites, if it comes into contact with a healing elite then it's basically GG

Wait... that's what they do??? I just thought it was an elite version of the 1 lunar item that buffs everything in it's aura, and I've always been lucky enough to kill them before anything gets in their aura. That's awful.

Both new Elite types are hot garbage. By trying to create an interactive Elite type they actually did the opposite. Made an Elite so bad people are modding it out. Shows you how little they know about their game that they thought that people could actually control what their damage hits at any point in the game past stage 3. So fun to lose all your money and get instakilled across stage. Absolutely birdbrained move

Literally whenever i see one that has a bunch of enemies inside the bubble i just flat out avoid it because if i try to do something about it its basically guaranteed death.

Guilded ones are just way to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tanky and while they do zap your coin you get like 75% back once they die, which honestly isn't that much of an issue unless you are having a tough time taking them down at first.

Twisted ones are just straight up garbage, their only counterplay is "kill them immediately
once they spawn from far away or else you'll get instantly gored" the only way i can see these things being somewhat balanced is that the effect only triggers if you are also in the bubble and ONLY from normal attacks (aka non-aoe/item effects) but even then melee characters are basically SOTL.

I just managed to beat the new final boss on Monsoon after 3 loops but i was insanely lucky as i managed to get a Dio for the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ twisted spawns, it wasn't fun, it wasn't engaging, it was tedious as ♥♥♥♥.

Once your game becomes tedious to play after a SINGLE update when i dont' even want to keep going, you know you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.

engie doesnt give a ♥♥♥♥ as usual though, since the reflected damage hits his turrets

I've only looped twice since the DLC came out and while I did see these enemies, I was just one-shotting them and didn't notice their effect. I was reading about it on wikis and it says that the reflected damage is only 0.25% of the source's (read: player's) maximum HP, which seems okay on paper.

Is it really resulting in instant deaths for people? While you should be taking damage from a bunch of AoE ticks, it shouldn't kill you instantly with capped scaled damage like that unless the interaction is bugged, which I wouldn't put past the game considering how buggy everything is right now.

Damage reflection shouldn't exist in this game, it just doesn't work well with all the aoe and dot effects.

there's already a mods that either remove them or rework them entirely. I recommend them until maybe GBX fixes stuff

Didn't notice the whole mechanic happening at all 'til a long run yesterday, when I started getting damage reflect from a malachite elite that was inside the aura, which caused me to be unable to heal - which is what made me notice the damage reflection mechanic.

Because I would usually heal enough, I wouldn't even notice it in the first place.

It might be because stuff is tied to framerate now, I'm not sure what happened but I had one spawn near me on a 2 hour run and it instantly killed me. I was so confused as to what happened as I didn't get hit by anything, I just flat out died because of it. Gives you absolutely no reaction time to do anything if your build is good enough it's quite dumb.

That and enemy HP number vs Player HP numbers are way different. Its why Antler Shield (why is it called antler shield, when there is no shield as a part of the item and no shielding effect at all???) is not good. It also has a .3 proc rate, ew gross. Imagine introducing an enemy type so unliked thats its modded out day 1, smh

I feel like this type of enemy could work, but it would have to shoot back and you rather than dealing instant damage. Like I feel like if you hit them while the shield is up it should start charging up a bomb or something that it fires back at you and it makes a big explosion or something.
