That's only available for one console where everyone has the same fps so you likely won't have issues there unless a lot of stuff happening slows the game down and introduces weird stuff.
Which inevitably happens in this game since more and more stuff will spawn the longer you play. It has no right to be this way in this game.
This kind of problem has been around forever which just makes it all the more weird that they made such an obvious mistake. Super old PC games very infamously are unplayable on more modern machines without emulators, because everything was tied to processing power, so they run at what feels like the speed of light without forced limits.
I was obsessed with Mega Man as a kid and so my dad bought me EVERYTHING Mega Man related, and that included the infamously bad PC Mega Man games.... and even in the early 90's, this was a problem - our computer was too good to run the game properly! It ran, but at lightning fast speed, which made it unplayable.
I guess this problem has become so ancient that it's become new again! lol.
I had 100ish hours in vanilla risk of rain 2 and 200 more since Survivors of the Void. Things don't feel right when I play the game right now. Also I use controller and they butchered my ability to view item descriptions. I basically can't read items in multiplayer at all anymore. Fantastic since I don't know what half the new items do yet.
If you haven't noticed any bugs it may be luck or one of the following:
I seemed to get more bugs in multiplayer than single player
Your computer/host's computer may be too strong generate any noticeable frame dips or odd behavior due to the FPS bugs.
I understand the sentiment about review bombings but I think it's justified on this DLC currently. For the record I have a good number of reviews (30ish off hand?) and I've only ever written like 5 negative ones.
There are many bugs that literally did not exist and that now completely break the game because the devs (apparently) mixed up the code from all platforms.
The bugs I have found are the following:
- Wrong edge lighting of objects.
- 3D printers without lighting.
- The music is always loud and the settings are not saved if you enter the game
- You can literally come to life if you play in multiplayer for no reason
- the hitbox of some enemy attacks are very out of what they should be
- the interaction of aspects with a particular item that determines the damage can cause the game to break completely
- You can start the stage and cross the floor and/or appear.
and it could continue with bugs and problems. The issue is that the DLC is "meh", it has potential, a lot, but they have broken what worked and it is not fun to play in such a disastrous state
This. This isn’t a review bomb. While the definition may be somewhat up for interpretation, a review bomb is generally a “bomb” of reviews with the intention of raising awareness for some cultural/social impact or some global decision that the company behind the game made. This, on the other hand, isn’t any form of mass persuasion with the intent of harming sales for no plausible reason. It’s simply a low quality product charged at a relatively high price and it is getting the reception such a product would get in any situation.
"Thats a neat/great idea, why does it have a downside?"
lantern's low hp buff is INSTANTLY removed the second you go above 50% hp (please if it must stay that way bump the hp threashold to 75% hp and under)
Prayer beads requires you to scrap them to get any benefit (and outside of bonus hp no clue what else it does because description is cryptic as hell)
Antler shield is 55% chance to reflect 10% damage (just remove the chance it can only hit what ever shot you in the first place and make it 20% because dealing 5 damage to a wisp is not winning any runs)
Knockback fin funny item but.... outside of Relic of frailty what is the point of forcing fall damage? *after like mad stacking the hell out of it because initial height is SO low it's ultra easy to mistake it for the enemies out right jumping and not your item*
Toxic thorn (honestly cool idea but) why on earth is it a 25% chance ON taking damage?
tons of people are saying seeker and chef are bad but real talk once you play them a bit you find seeker can hard core exploit blood shrines and chef can use roller and cleaver at the same time to shread enemies in seconds
It's like gasoline and will o the wisp if gas only had a 10 percent chance to proc
