Sounds like the dlc made modding a pain in the ass for modders. You will have a better experience downpatching your game to the pre dlc version and just adding mods.
havent heard anyone mention this
At this very moment i think i'd rather have mods, than DLC, even though new maps are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing
Yea, I had no interest in this dlc other than saving my 100% progress and some new items, cheated in all the unlocks to give them a test/try and was hyper underwhelmed. I have way more actual hours playing this game both vanilla and modded. Tried out a significant portion of mods that change or add basically anything to the game.
Every item I tested/read I recall a mod existing for it ages ago in some form or just a better version of it. The characters feel like they were just snatched off thunderstore and sprinkled a few changes on.
266 hours in game on PC and more on console, DO listen to OP. This DLC is a shame and a disappointment to the franchise. The new elites are borderline dysfunctional (Gildeds are stealing gold from proximity not attack and the Twisted elites are fundamentally a bad addtion for a variety of reasons)
The new characters are either painfully weak single-target (Seeker), horrendously bad hitboxes (Chef), or disappointingly poor animations (False Son)
Most of the new stages are almost objectively worse in-run than getting the usual ones due to their size or gimmicks, and several of the new items are gimmicky bloat or aggressively overtuned.
