Twisted elites dont make sense.
There's too many cases of incidental damage from proc chains for twisted elites to be fair, they should just block damage not reflect it because 99% of the time they insta kill you. Also why are they blue? We have 2 blue elites already get a new color.

And its another bubble, another blue bubble. Make sure you dont confuse it with the other blue bubble, or youll die to your own burn damage!

I haven't seen one all weekend. I thought they actually patched them out. Are they really still a thing?

only on looped runs, did you turn off dlc content?

I haven't died to a single malachite or celestine since the dlc came out, every run I have that loops is ended on stage 6 because some stupid twisted enemy. I can't even avoid them, its not even worth looping anymore

Since we didn't even get any proc items to equal the chances of getting a good run in the bloated item pools with DLC, I don't think the devs knew how the metaplay of RoR2 even worked when doing the DLC

Agreed, they're pretty bad. Thankfully, there is a mod that isn't too hard to install that essentially replaces them with Malachites by making the director unable to spawn them. If you just Google "ror2 mod that removes Twisteds" or something along those lines it'll be the first or second result.
