Yeah, just started playing this and been having fun and now that got all characters unlocked (REX too suprisingly long, lol) i'm kinda itching to get the rest as they do look very fun.
But
Incredible music as always and VERY cool new maps
It can't be that bad, surely?
Huh, they do look fun.. at least the sword dude i've seen some folks playing.
false son is a slow and clunky character with almost nothing interesting to his kit. he's the club guy, and the club is all you'll be using because his other skills are weak and unpolished
seeker is also boring, having to pause the fun game you're playing to press ▶⏫◀◀⏫⬇⬇◀ every couple seconds to stack tranquility is just a very boring mechanic. really the only thing she has going for her is her support abilities which are useless unless you happen to be playing multiplayer with a bunch of friends who suck (which you currently cannot do because the update broke multiplayer)
and chef. I dont even know what to say about chef. he's just fundamentally broken on so many levels. almost nothing in his kit works, you're better off just replacing all of his skills with Heretic and playing her instead
the stages are fun, new big boss while overtuned a bit (especially with his laser) is way better than voidling still, a lot of the new items are kinda cool (whispers, sale star, chance doll, prayer beads, chronic expansion, growth nectar, and runic lense), new equipment and shrine are very nice for multiplayer (maybe a bit too good but do increase fun factor in multiplayer), and then ofc the dlc adds a lot of new skins 1 for every old survivor and i like a majority of the new skins they look really good imo.
kinda up to you if you find it worth or not but i would kinda say so after the recent patch fixing a lot of the major problems
-They're slow because their kit is strong and they have a tank-like play style.
-Their kit is interesting because they have the lunar spike gimmick that buffs him and his special ability along with his extra club slam ability.
-His other skills are not weak or unpolished, at least mechanically.
-His special ability is one of the most powerful abilities in the game right now.
his kit is a little clunky, sometimes trying to go from a m2 to either special or m1 can have your input eaten, nothing really unplayable there tho and easy to get used to. i don't even think he's that slow has a quick dash utility and gains ms from passive (engi, arti, and captain feel way slower).
i do agree his passive and way he scales off hp items is unique and interesting but think the ways his skills interact with the passive/debuffs feels a bit weird especially his main special which will only do like 1/4th of it's dmg while the debuff is still on the target.
his skill animations do seem a bit undercooked or unpolished, some look a bit like you'd expect a mod to look not a dlc character.
don't think he's very weak or unfun though i like him just think he could use a bit touching up, chef is the actually weak character from the dlc that guy needs a lot of help with both the worst m1 and m2's in the game.
