I agree with you, i just lost a run because i went behind a pillar to avoid his laser, guess what? the pillar was almost the size of my survivor (commando), so i couldn't move at all, there were TWO golems on my side of the pillar and i didn't have time to kill them, i tried to dash to the other pillar and got obliterated by a laser that does 50 damage a tick, this is not the first time btw.
To the guy above me, i don't think it makes any colossal difference to reach false son with timer or no timer, either way you can reach there in two minutes, he is still going to erase you with his laser, it's literally just rng fight, pray to get tons of mobility, pray to get good damage, pray to get good defense items, and pray to not have false son right behind the only pillar near you with two golems on the other side.
So just an update to this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ laser. its fps set so if you play with unbound fps it will litterly melt you in a quarter of the time. than if you locked your fps to 30, this game has gone down the drain because a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ company decided to link everything to fps because "it just makes sense" your better off rolling this game back and enjoying the masterpiece it once was and not even bothering with this sh!t that gearbox gave us. not to mention twisted and gilded enemies just kill your runs especially if your a melee boy, you might as well just never touch them if you want to do loop runs then bosses cause you wont even get past the first twisted.
But this boss feels like you are required to have a lot of movement item (which you should for the rest of the game anyway) to avoid the laser and the lightning strikes. My main gripe is that in the last phase you have to deal with both of these so you cannot really hide.
I've nuked this guy twice on Monsoon. I have unlimited fps set.
Congrats you didnt get ♥♥♥♥ pillar spawns and had a chance to actually do something. i still think the damage and or tick rate shouldnt be with fps as i also play with unlimited and have been melted by it every time.
the titan and aurelionite's lasers are fine, because they're static enemies. you know where they are, they won't move, and you can take cover.
False son's isn't, because if he runs at your pillar, and smashes the ground, it's checkmate. you're dead, no matter how you look at it.
