Sky meadow on stage 6...?

Just got sky meadow on stage 6... is that normal? I've heard certain hidden realms count towards this but the only thing I did was not* go through a blue portal.

*I say not, but I interacted with the blue portal and THEN interacted with the teleporter whilst it was giving me he xp. I didn't go through to the BBT even though I got the xp from the blue portal.

what did you get on stage 5.........

The only hidden realm that should advance the stage counter is void fields.
It used to not do that but started doing it since SotV.

I definitely didn't go into void fields, so I'm unsure how the counter got messed up like that.

I think I have it figured out. If you activate the portal that goes to the BBT then quickly activate the teleporter then it advances 2 stages but the actual stages are the same (resulting in sky meadow being on stage 6}
