Trying to unlock Rex

Hi guys
i'm currently trying to unlock rex, I know he's located in abyssal depths

the thing is i always end up in sundered grove in 4th stage... Is there any way to be sure to get to abyssal depth or is it completely random ? I just have to play again and again with my fuel array on me until reaching abyssal depths ?

and another question, what is the best way to unlock spider mines with the engineer " As Engineer, defeat the teleporter boss in less than 5 seconds after it spawns " ?

Find a newt altar on stage 3 and offer a lunar coin to it. When you finish the teleporter event, a blue portal will appear. Take it instead of the teleporter to go to the lunar bazaar. There, you can spend 3 lunar coins to guarantee that Abyssal Depths will be your 4th stage. Unless you get unlucky and end up having to choose between Siren's Call or Sundered Grove.

Lunar bazaar lets you spend some coins to get a specific stage.

For Engy, the best way is to probably do it early on before there's multiple bosses. I'd pay a lot of visits to the bazaar to get shaped glass, then get a preon and nuke the boss with it as it spawns.

play multi, put fuel array in second equipment slot so you don’t have to worry about dying at half health. you can go with blue portal if you want of just keep looping till you get abysmal.

for engineer, just play till you get super op and you will one shot the tp boss. also you can use preon accumulator

you can't have the fuel array if you play solo with mul-t.
