Alloy Worship Unit Monster Log / Drop Chances
I currently am only missing the logbook for the Alloy Worship Unit, and I need to know if there is any way of increasing the chances of getting a log to drop.

I originally believed that the information given about the 57 Leaf Clover, stating that it increases the drop chance of monster logs, was true, but have come to believe otherwise.

I am currently in a command + sacrifice run and am almost on stage 30 at this point. I have 55 57 Leaf Clovers, and I have not gotten the logbook to drop. This has caused me to believe the clover does NOT affect drop chance. Even with supremely bad luck, I have rolled for this 1% drop chance over 400 times during my clover stacked runs ( assuming the clover DOES re-roll the drop chance like it would an ATG proc ).

Someone give me some advice please, this is literally the only thing left in the game I have yet to unlock and it's taking too much of my free time. Even with a 1% drop rate, I have fought the unit about 60 or 70 times now, just today.

Hope everyone is staying safe out there!

Sometimes a log just won't drop. If you haven't gotten it by the second attempt just finish the run and start a new run.

No real information backing it other than three or four runs that it wouldn't drop even after seven or eight tries in the run.

This is just RNG being RNG unfortunately. There's not a whole lot you can do about a rare drop chance just not happening other than keeping at it.

This reply I wrote to another thread might be of use to you:

With 10 Clovers, it would statistically take 46 kills to reach above 99% chance for at least 1 of the kills to drop a log.

With 25 Clovers, it would statistically take 19 kills to reach above 99% chance for at least 1 of the kills to drop a log.

With 37 Clovers, it would statistically take 13 kills to reach above 99% chance for at least 1 of the kills to drop a log.

The calculation is:
(1-(0.99^numberOfClovers)^numberOfKills)*100
I solved the equation for "numberOfKills".

This is all statistics, and your bad RNG cases might not fit into these.
In your case, with 55 Clovers it would still be 9 kills.

That said, sometimes RNG just kicks you in the teeth, and you're probably just very unfortunate. I should have gotten 2 Irradiant Pearls by now, but no luck. I created a new profile and the very first Cleansing Pool I found had an Irradiant Pearl. I had no lunar items and no pods on the map...

The fastest way to fight AWU is to grind a prismatic trial that starts you on sirens call. Still pretty rng reliant, but at least it's something (unless drop chance is fixed with the seed.)
lol, random is random. JHarlequin is wrong and Jimmy Hunter is right. Just try, try again.
