HOWEVER, I disagree that the enemies are too tough. yes, perfected lunar chimeras can be a real pain in the keester. But they are by no means impossible. And I actually believe that running is absolutely a vital and key part of the game. movement is everything, and the only reason to kill enemies is to earn money to get items (or stop them from destroying you). So since you arent buying anything on the moon, why would you kill any enemies other than to stop them from chasing you? otherwise youre just wasting valuable time
Finding the way to skip pillars during the run is really fun. Sort of an additional layer of depth and decision making, another thing to keep in your head. A little thing that separates experienced players from newbies. You feel like a hero after climbing on the mithy's arena with no mobility/cooldown items on mercenary.
Cauldrons are also pretty cool, they allow you to reshape your build for the upcoming fight. And man it is exciting to find like a Shattering Justice/Behemoth/Clover cauldron.
If you are having a hard time killing these moon damage sponges then your run is wacky, And you are totally supposed to ignore them, there is nothing to earn money for here anyway.
don't know why peoiple don't.
Pillars suck.
Boss has a phase that punishes half the characters harshly for picking up the wrong items in your run.
Each of those by itself isn't so bad (minus pushy pillar and being punished for picking items), but all those things together is incredibly different from the other 99% of the game. Thats why so many more people seem to not like the moon - its where the feel of the game diverges the most. The moon feels like a different genre of game from the rest, instead of being just different enough.
I hope the upcoming DLC will have a good mode to break up the tedium of Monsoon, or an adjustment of the moon level so that Eclipse becomes worth it again.
the reason this game was called "risk of rain" is because the rain part is a metaphor for all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that's thrown at you. you are dodging metaphorical rain droplets
this is the most in spirit the game can get
other than that yeah i agree it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
