How is Most Damage dealt calculated?

I was in a party of 4 and where we spent 4 hours on a run.
At the end, I did TOTAL 4.5 Billion damage. But Most Damage Dealt was valued at: 3.3 Billion.

I was just wondering how that was calculated since my friend who did 9 billion damage did 313 million Most Damage Dealt.

This seems highly unbelievable. You're telling me that I did 3.3 Billion damage in one hit? I'm not trying to have a go at you but I'm just in awe that that could conceivably happen.

I guess the better question would be to ask: what does a Singe Hit count as? I don't even think that I could do all that damage in one stage, let alone one punch. (We went to stage 50 before we did the final boss).

That means 74% of your damage was in the one attack.

I've seen most damage dealt exceed total damage, so there's definitely something bugged going on there.

That being said it's certainly not one single hit from one single attack. It includes proc chains, and may or may not include on-kill effects triggering from deaths caused by that proc chain, in which case it can potentially scale to infinity.

I have never payed attention to it enough to notice if it was bugged. It very well could be just a bug somewhere but if the system is working properly it would mean 74% of your damage was from an attack or chain (if it works like that going to assume that Zeddy is right on that though).

I do think that the stat is just bugged. I thought there was more to it but that seems to be the right answer.
