The game keeps resetting my unlocks

Every time I play, half my unlocks just get reset. Is there a fix? I'm tired of unlocking a bunch of new stuff with my friends and then the next day its all locked again.

If its every time you launch the game (try closing and opening again after unlocking ANYTHING) then it might just be an access issue. Find the save file and check permissions.

Yes, I join my friends lobby to play, but then it says I unlock my own things at the end of the run, like character skills and skins and stuff, and they are unlocked and I can select and play them. Just the next day I come back to play again, some of them randomly get locked again. Is it because I'm playing with mods, or because I'm playing with friends?

I found the profile file and un-checked "read only" and it still happens.

Also, the logbook says I have 20 hours of playtime, but on steam its 40.

I went to the modded discord, and they told me it happens in vanilla too.

No, I did not. You can go to Steam\userdata\userID\632360\remote\UserProfiles and turn off read-only but I don't know if it actaully did anything for me. You can also manually edit that file to increase the playtime and number of runs/wins in your profile if those are missing. I had to use a cheat mod that lets me right click on things to unlock the ones that the game removed from my profile.

the userID is the folder with your steam ID, it's different for everyone, if you have multiple, that means you logged into several accounts, try to find it in a different one.

For some reasons my steam is bugged and I had to start it as admin to create the save folder
