Grandparent vs Drones Issue

If a single grandparent spawns, there's a 90% chance all my drones will get fried on that stage. As a drone enjoyer, this is usually between 8-15 drones. Sure, I can revive some of them, but equipment drones are always toast and the giga drone from Rallypoint Delta can't be revived. I always try to immediately get away if one starts an Overheat attack, but the drones are stupid and just stay in the fire. They die so fast - under 10 seconds for some. Is there some way to get this to not happen?

sadly not really in my experience. You can either anticipate when theyre going to do it and get into cover before the animation even starts so the drones have more time to follow you, or kill it before it praises the sun for too long

try to either not touch grandparent so it has more than 50% hp or to kill him in instant

thanks for the tip, but if I can kill him instantly I don't think I'd need my drones anyway

Drones reduce aggro on you, so of course it's worth taking that one healing drone if lizard (lemurians are hella hot tbh) decides to try burning it instead of burning you
