We all have this worry; i really hope the dlc won't disappoint
Gearbox after fantastic 2012 BL2 released/developed:
failed Colonial Marines that had to be fixed by modders.
questionable/mixed BL pre-sequel
failed Battleborn, greedy re-remaster of Duke Nukem 3d
re-release of Bulletstorm just to get some cash out of new consoles
attrocius BL3 and weird New Tales of BL
While some things were under 2K's trash direction, they still were taking part in it.
so yeah, trust not yet restored, I'd be happier if Hopoo kept their games, their lore and direction instead of letting other company take over creating new stuff without their guidance.
Sort of like if you forgot to put in vanilla in chocolate chip cookies, they will turn out fine, but be not quite as good as they could have been.
Agreed, I treat this game as last decent BL in the series, but used it to show that after 2012 something went wrong with Gearbox and they went onto some sort of a downfall as devs.
tbh i put all my heart writing what's wrong with BL3 in short, but steam didn't let me post it and now i feel too lazy writing that again
I have my reasons to treat BL3 rather badly as well as its "best in series" gameplay.
It would probably a better game for newcommers, but not for me.
Anyways, my experience with Gearbox after 2014 is nothing but sad and I treat them with scepticism. ESPECIALLY since I fell in love with Hopoo's projects - it would break my heart and trust completely if they would make RoR2's lore or gameplay go to trashcan. And it's honestly quite easy to break RoR2 to make it easy af and faster - just like they "improved" BL3 for me.
