About gearbox, i don't understand.

why does everyone hate them? i like their games myself, btw i know abt the gacha game and idc

they've mishandled a lot of franchises because of greed, including their own. people are understandably worried when it comes to risk of rain 2 because we have no idea what their plans are yet, and they could easily run this franchise into the ground like they've done with other games in the past.

People on the internet LOVE being outraged, and their CEO is an outrageous guy. So by extension internet irrationally hates anything that has to do with Gearbox. The meltdown on this forum when gearbox acquired ROR IP was real something.

yeah and i think we need to look at it from the devs pov, they are a 3 man team from what i've heard and they sold it for 1 million. so that amount of money split across 3 people, i mean who wouldn't take such a deal. they wanted to move onto new projects anyways probably.

Also Aliens Colonial Marines has a few good indepth videos that go over the garbage gearbox (randy pitchford) pulled, with one by Matt McMuscles that's fairly unbiased and covers how it wasn't just gearbox's fault for what happened.

Like I said, they hate one person, so in their mind, all 500+ employees, an immeasurable amount of artistic effort and contribution to the games industry must be tainted. No point arguing, really. If you disagree with them or even not outraged enough, then you must be misinformed, you need to "actually put in the effort", or you're a shill.

Borderland 3's story and DLCs (very pricy dlcs, might i add) don't add very much and are mediocre as hell. Hope that doesn't happen with RoR's newest DLC.

borderlands 3 is the best gameplay wise, also the reason why its my favorite one
