Cursor stuck inside the game window

I'm having an issue where, when I'm in the main menu or the pause menu and I try to move my cursor to check my Discord messages or look something up online, I can't because the cursor refuses to move pass the edges of the game window. This happens whether I'm playing full screen or windowed and whether I'm using 1 or 2 monitors. It's severely annoying. Is there a way to fix this? I hear there's a button combination I can press to free the cursor temporarily, but that's not a fix. It's annoying to have to do that every time I want to pause to check a message.

I'm not aware of any ways to avoid that sadly. You can try posting it in feedback and suggestions.

On a side note, if your hand is in WASD position, I don't imagine pressing Alt+Tab takes that much time, why is it annoying?

It's annoying because this is the only game I've ever played where that is a problem, so pressing Alt+Tab is never my first instinct. That, and it doesn't always work for me for some reason.

That wouldn't solve the problem of the cursor being stuck inside the screen. Like, if I play in 800x600, that's an 800x600 area in my screen that the cursor can't escape from.

I'm honestly not sure why any shooter ever does this. Your mouse gets locked to the middle of the screen while you're aiming anyway, it's not like you're going to accidentally click outside the window in the middle of combat.

I'm personally used to just alt tabbing but yeah, I definitely understand the frustration.

its because its not borderless you can probably look around video of graphics settings to see if you can change it to full screen borderless
