Artifact of sacrife
It seriously needs a buff, its trash, i got 3 items at 10 minute mark, thats like absolutely nothing. I dont know if i just have trash rng but its WAY worse than just buying normal chests and stuff. When i saw it i thought it would be really fun but the item drop rate from the enemies is just so bad, you probably could have 20 items from chests when youd only have around 5-10 from the enemy drops

It seems to have a much, much higher drop rate in multiplayer, but otherwise I agree. Single player sessions seem to have a painfully low drop rate.

Cannot confirm. Since today's patch, I get 3 - 4 items in the first stage in the time span of getting to the teleporter.

With sacrifice, you don't linger in a stage for money, you rush straight for the Tele.

I did rush to the tele, still managed to pathetically only get one item

Sometimes it is quick and sometimes it is very slow. Other people will mention that the experience from the enemy also boosts it's drop chance, so low xp, low drop chance.

It is likely that if you move towards the teleporter as fast as possible that you might not get more than the teleporter drop for the first level. But it is still likely that you will start getting drops soon enough after.

For people that start their first loop as fast as possible, the sacrifice artifact probably gets them more items then they would get normally because they don't pick anything up. They live off of teleporter drops for the first three or four levels.

sacrifice is horribad. just stick with chests

It's RNG like everything else. If you can manage to clear the first 3 levels with the 2-3 items you get, not including boss drop, which can be doubled with mountain shrines if you're lucky, after you get your hands on your first red on the fourth map, it gets way easier as the harder it gets, the more drops you get. It makes the early game a lot harder and luck reliant, but pass that first barrier the snowball effect is insane. Also I always play with swarm artifact to give me more chance at drops. I had a lot bad runs a few days earlier but the last two days I've been able to get a couple good runs on monsoon.

Just did 3 runs on monsoon with sacrifice, command, kin, soul and swarm. Was pretty fun and you get OP much sooner than with chests if you can survive the first 2 levels. Later on you get items every 20 seconds...

With Sacrifice, you don't just rush the teleporter. You rush it to activate it, kill the boss, and then run away from the teleporter and just farm mobs until you have a few items. There is no reason to rush the stage, and there is no reason to farm before the teleporter is active.

There's very well a reason to rush. Especially early on, runs fail due to the difficulty rising faster than you can acquire items. Unless you get lucky with drops (or command) you will have a bad time of you waste to much time.

Read my reply again until it makes sense to you.

All you suggest is to stay in the stage. To waste time to "farm". If you kill the boss in the beginning or the end of the stage doesn't matter in that scenario.

droprate curve is extremely high, if you can survive with no items for the first stretch and get items later-- you're nearly guaranteed an item from every enemy by 70 minutes in, provided you're also passing stages in a mannerly conduct. it's a snowball effect and absolutely is stronger than just chests at high difficulty scale. early game, i have no answers for you-- combo with glass?

monster that spawns during the teleporter event have lowered drop rates, making it really inefficient early on. You always rush tele. If you can make it pass the early stages with the few drops you get you will get plenty of items without having to farm at any point.
