Question about modded characters

Been playing with some modded characters, rocket, paladin, enforcer to name some. They don't every stay unlocked is the first problem, until I installed the right click unlock mod and that fixed it.

NOW the new problem is that any skills or master skins I unlock for those characters will relock when i start the game up again

is there any way to prevent this at all? (considering the "unlock all mods / right click to unlock doesn't work on skins and abilities )

No clue why it happens, the unlocks work fine on some saves and break on others.
Best bet is to just check the config for each character to see if they have a Force Unlock option.

Hmm, the characters ive been using don't have it in their config files.
Is there any way I could unlock those abilities and have them stick? I've already 100% the game in vanilla so i'm not opposed to resetting my save and using a mod to give all the unlocks back.

Right click unlocks mod for PC is what I am going to try since Miner doesn't have a force unlock config option for some reason.

I opened a legendary chest and Miner did not unlock for me, twice. I tried reinstalling and that didn't work either, so Miner is just broken (so is SniperClassic unlock as well, but he has a force unlock option).

Edit: So in case anyone has this problem, it turns out you need to copy your Thunderstore profile and create a new one in order to fix this bug that has been around for a long time.

I only found this out by a Reddit thread but once I did that all the unlocks I was trying to do during my run started working, just copy your thunderstore profile with its mods using Code and Import a New Profile using the code with ctrl+v and then play using that new mod profile and everything should start working again and you can unlock characters and challenges/achievements.
