hoppo sold the IP to gearbox, and are working on risk of rain remastered, you bet there isn't going to be anymore updates from now on, no community dev logs, no teases, no commentary, nothing. this is a thing of the past now, the game is regretably complete, it is what it is.

The devs were going to stop developing the game even if gearbox didnt acquire ror2, so the only thing I'm worried about now is gearbox making a terrible new risk of rain game, or butchering the game we have. However, we haven't gotten any news of what gearbox is up to yet, and, despite their history, I think it's fair if people don't immediately write them off, as their previous work with SoTV was pretty solid.

Well Gearbox is working on with the remake of Risk of Rain 1, and that was the main goal to begin with, plus porting SoTV from RoR2 to consol versions.
Hopoo Games is just backseating the development.

Well, good thing they sold it to Gearbox then. They could certainly not make it any worse then what they ben doing with the Borderlands series.

monsoon isn't even that hard lmao.
i would say, the only hard thing in ror 2 is eclipse with it's modifiers, and the only modifier that did affected me is teleporter radius with permanent damage.
also, it's not our fault that you can't dodge 20 enemies at same time while also fighting 2 elite bosses.
just as again, sounds like a skill issue.

Gearbox said they are focusing on 1. helping out a bit with RoR Returns and 2. Improving the console ports and adding SotV to consoles before continuing development on RoR2.

I'm pretty sure they said this on either twitter or discord but honestly it should have been a community announcement here aswell to prevent confusion like this.

I mean the announcement of Hopoo Games selling their IP´s to Gearbox so that Gearbox could work on the games for them, while Hopoo Games will backsteat monitor the development of them.
Gearbox isnt just helping out, they own them now so they can do what they want with it, since Hopoo Games sold the IP´s to them.

there's never been a roadmap that included a 2nd dlc
there was a dev post that said they wanted to make multiple dlc eventually but that's it
