How does Gasoline work in Multiplayer ?

So from my understanding on kills in multiplayer trigger for all players right ? But how exacly do they stack ?
If say one person holds 10 stacks and another 20 does it:
-Trigger the 20 stack
-Trigger two explosions of 10 an 20 respectively
-Trigger a 30 stack
?
And how does Ignition tank come into the equation ? Does the killer have to hold it or the guy with the gas ? Or does it follow the on kill rules if an on kill item triggers the ignite ?
I know i should just go and lab it but I would appriciate someone saving me the time if its already been tested

It only triggers for your kills. This applies for any on-kill effects.
This also is a rule for single-player, too. Things like gasoline will not work if even an npc ally (with the exception of engi turrets, because they have the item) lands the killing blow.

They're still good, as enemy counts will be higher than they are on singleplayer. Plus there will be more items, so all players will be likely to have on-kill items.
