I am not gonna support them in a future. If they were sick of developing this game then they could release some announcement instead of just one silly tweet and that's it.
They made a lot of money thanks to Risk of Rain 2. In March 2021 there were news that the game sold 4 million copies on Steam.
And you clearly have not heard about the whole discord situation where they laugh at fans and say other crap.
2. Silly tweet? Oh the whole "love letter" fiasco... yea they could of been a bit more exact in their word when Hopoo was done with developing RoR2, but thats wasnt Hopoos doing, it was Gearbox. Even than, they wanted to address the news, and they did.
3. Yes, but consider the fact that they have a budget, paying the other staff, and other business stuff, they only have so much money. They dont want to work on it, but didnt want to completely abaodon it so they gave it a company and they got their moneys worth. They could use that money to get more employees, fund projects, and maybe do something bigger with their company.
4. Im not sure what happened and I need to see it for myself for the whole context.
Look if you dont want to support them, thats fine, but I just dont understand why your making it a bigger deal than it really is.
we'll probably never know the circumstances, how much, or truly why, as business transactions are NDA.
and no, you don't tease chef leaving us in a cliffhanger and then go silent for 6 months, without saying a damn thing about it and you get away with everyone beeing happy a bright, slap in the face.
Back when I was just a tiny little boy, my mother taught me how to recognize and predict patterns.
And Gearbox has a pattern.
But I do hope they break that pattern, there's always hope
they could also just make a bunch of balance patches and ruin the game as well, they can do more than just a bad dlc
I am rather surprised that devs would mock the fans since it was the fans who really brought this game up to its present popularity.
Anyone give me a quick speed up on this?
Is there a situation where fans DONT do this? You make a game for an audience no audience = bad game
But yeah, what happened with Hopoo games and their fans? I know about Gearbox but not that part.
This aged like fine goat milk....
