No?
Well, neither does the rest of the fanbase.
Gearbox is utter ♥♥♥♥♥
In my country (due to sales and maybe due to regional pricing too but I'm not willing to check steamdb to confirm) the price of Borderlands 2 DLC is 35 times the current price of the game. Similarly for Borderlands 3,DLC costs 17 times the current price of the game. That's what makes all those monthly Borderlands sales worthless, because the money is not in the game, but in the DLC. If they go "DLC EVERYTHING" with RoR2, well, anything could happen.
I mean, for now, SoTV and getting up to date on consoles would be nice and I would appreciate more content for RoR2, but if I have to pay for a season pack, skins for characters or stuff like that I'll be disappointed.
I played the first Bordlerlands game very early on no DLC and haven't really kept up with Gearbox since.
Adding such a monetization scheme to RoR2, for me, will be disappointing, but not more than that. It won't ruin the game: RoR2 is not a live service, so you can still play the same way, alone, or with friends. If they add paid skins and you don't buy them there is no change for you. If they add paid characters an you don't use them there is no change for you. So the most I can say is that it will be disappointing for me but I don't really care more than that.
that is a worry to have. it wont be cheap either.
Either, they make dlc that won't sell as much, or they don't make dlc. There's an obvious choice.
Buying the IP not only means they own this game, but this IDEA.
They won't change this game. They'll make their own RoR product and try to sell that.
