Deprecated mods

I keep seeing deprecated mods and i see a good amount of good reviews on said mods, i know that deprecated means broken. But is there any way i can play the mods? Cuz the disclaimer is "This mod is potentially broken" potentially. Are they all broken or should i try and download them and see what happens?

the ones i tried just dont work, like the content is just not there. Im just wondering if theres ANYTHING i can do to have a chance to play deprecated mods. Ive tried about 30+ mods to no avail

If they're made for older versions of the game odds are very good that they will only work on that version. Every update for this game breaks mods entirely.

I remember there being a way to revert back to older versions of games on steam, perhaps you could give that a try if you really want to play with these mods. You'll probably need to do some detective work on what older versions you need to download for what mods though.

No, they're not all broken, but general rule of thumb is if an update changed what the mod changes, it break'ed. New survivors/skins i've had better luck with still working. Depreciated doesn't guarantee broken. A better word would be 'unsupported' (by thunderstore).
