Nobody plays the game Multiplayer?

I was hoping that this game some sort of has multiplayer playerbase. But seems like there's none.

Pretty sure most folks have a small group they run with or are trying to solo the game to see how far they can go (agian did say trying)

well, i found some guys on twitch but this seems also not as a valid option often.

do you have cross-play enabled?, disable it if you do
I regularly play with randoms and can see 2 - 3 games rn
if cross-play is on you might see nothing

1. Most people aren't good at the game. I wouldn't normally have a problem with this, except it means every lobby is command+sacrifice+peepee+poopoo which takes all challenge out of the game. If you make your own lobby, people will join, die in the first 3 stages or so, then ragequit.

2. This game is primarily single player which means there's things about it that don't work in multiplayer. It's super easy to grief in it, dying means you'll be stuck spectating for 5-10 minutes with absolutely nothing to do except remind your teammates of scrappers, printers, etc. and you'll start the next stage with less items which means you're more likely to die and get even weaker. You'll reach a point where you are making virtually no difference and that you might as well not be playing at all.

So yeah, you either play super duper casually or find a group.

You can try looking for a group on the discord, or hosting a game.

That's such a dumb reason to refund this game in particular. If you don't enjoy the game for what it is in single player, why would you care about it having a ton more of mp lobbies?

There's people playing it, you just need to turn off the cross play.

Yeah, that too. Probably the only solid complaint about the game is that cross-play is half-baked

There are tons of people to play with on Discord. Join the Risk of Rain 2 server. I don't know what you are talking about when you say no one is playing the game.
