What Items are good to use with the equipment drone?

been burned with equipment drones a few times, I'm still new so i don't know what tems are useless or not. So far the goo (clones itself) and credit card items (doesn't do anything) and the backup seems to work well. What's good and what's bad?

This has a list of useful items as well as items that don't work/have little effect. If I'm playing Command I generally try to put missile launcher or Gorag's on it because they are always useful and global abilities. f you already have spare drone parts the Back-Up is a great choice since it upgrades the summoned drones as well as the equipment drone itself.

One not included on the Wiki that is very good on the Equipment Drone is the Preon Accumulator thanks to the massively reduced cooldown and the fact that drones use the enemy level instead of yours to calculate damage.

Damaging equipment isn't great on drones, since they have no items and nothing to proc, therefore stuff like Missile Launcher will just tickle enemies. Drones are best with utility like Cube, Woodsprite, Radar, Back-up etc, since drone has cooldown reduction and the efficiency is not diminished by lack of items/procs. Molotov can still be useful to apply burn status for Death Mark

And even if the drone can't use the equipment at all it is still being a flying distraction for you and will have missiles if you have Droneman, so it's worth giving it anything as long as you have spare equipment you don't need.

Give drone cube. Literally the single best thing to give it as it will spam black holes endlessly. Hear the lament of the wildlife as you slaughter it whilst it is held tightly in the grip of inescapable gravitational vortexes. Bonus points if you also have a drone with PA.

bad ones:
anything that directly heals as it only keeps the drone healed, not you
gooey is better for you since it'll actually do something
crit hud only works if you can actually attack
ANY of the lunar gear items. altho glowing meteroite can be fun if you're on a mobile survivor
the mastercard: don't. just don't

situational:
tricorn: a 1 time use, but free boss item is free boss item
the aspects. ice, lightning and fire need to attack to be used so unless you have spare parts, not worth
malachite will spew out the mines and occasional urchins which can be good for healing prevention
celestine is good for free stealth within it's range
his grace, is BRILLIANT on equip drones. you basically have a pocket medic with you at all times

overall, just experiment. see what works
