Multiple newt altars... is there a reason to activate more than one?

So I just found not 1 but 3 newt altars around the abandoned aqueduct with the radar scanner, previously I didn't know more than one could even spawn at a time. Does anything different happen if you hit more than one?

Other than getting the achievement sooner, no.

You can't hit more than one on the same level. Also hitting one after a teleporter randomly spawns is a waste of coins as well.
