Time chest?

Is the time chest broken or something? I get to it before the 10 minutes are up but I can never open it for some reason. It'd be still counting up even though I'm right there unable to open it.

You have to open the chest yourself before the 10 minute mark,

Yeah I know but it doesn't open when I get to it before the 10 minute mark. That's the problem.

I just found it again. It's at 6 minutes and counting and I can't open it.

That means you're six minutes late, to open it you have to get to the chest before 10 minutes in your run have passed

So I have to get to the second stage and find that chest within 10 minutes to open it? Then what's the point of it counting up to ten minutes if I'm already 6 minutes late? This is such a wack mechanic.

Third stage, and it's supposed to be a reward that unlocks for all future runs

Wish the wiki explained it more in depth. I probably wouldn't have guess it meant I was 6 minutes late.

"The Timed Security Chest is a Chest with a timer on it. In order to open it, the player needs to reach it before the in-game timer reaches 10 minutes.

If there is a negative sign in front of the time display, the Timed Security Chest is expired, and shows how much time has passed since it locked down. Otherwise, it shows how much time left before the chest expires."

Seems pretty straight forward. I know how the visual aspect could be confusing, but the wiki[riskofrain2.fandom.com] explains it well.

youre supposed to get to it when its counting DOWN. if its counting up, youre too late.
